今年10月，美联航将推出进出美国的最长航线，往来洛杉矶与新加坡，航程飞行时间大约在15小时至18小时之间。
美联航表示，一旦得到批准后，该航班首航将于10月27日推出，使用波音787飞机执飞。
“美联航正在为前往新加坡旅游提供着更多的便利性。抵达洛杉矶的旅客们也可以继续中转前往美联航其他位于美国、加拿大、拉丁美洲的目的地，”Dave Hilfman，美联航全球销售高级副总裁表示。“我们在洛杉矶的运营有着超过50年的历史，这次推出飞往新加坡的新航班后，我们将继续加强我们作为美国领先航空公司的地位。”
去程航班为UA37，将每日20:55从洛杉矶LAX机场出发，并于两日后06:50抵达新加坡樟宜机场。返程航班UA38，将于11:00从新加坡樟宜机场出发，并于同日10:15抵达洛杉矶机场。航班将跨越国际日界线。
