Cathay Pacific has revealed plans to increase its Canadian operations this summer.

Commencing on 24 June 2017, the airline will add four more weekly flights between Hong Kong and Toronto, taking the total frequency of the route to two flights per day.

The extra services, which will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, will depart HKIA at 1035 and arrive in Toronto at 1355 the same day. The return flights then leave Toronto in the afternoon, arriving back in Hong Kong the following evening.

The additional summer services will run until 4 September 2017.

“Toronto is a growing destination for us, and with summer being a popular period for families to spend important time together, we are delighted to be able to offer our customers with more options and flexibility through these additional services,” said Cathay’s director of corporate development & IT, Paul Loo. “Cathay Pacific is wholly committed to the Canadian market and we are continually looking at ways in which we can increase our reach within the country.”

Cathay Pacific has already announced plans to increase its Vancouver service from 14 to 17 weekly flights from 28 March 2017. The airline also recently signed a major a codeshare agreement with Air Canada for flights between Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Canada.
