The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has embarked on a major campaign to promote the southern province of Nakhon Si Thammarat to domestic and international tourists.
Under the new “Nakhon Si Awesome” marketing campaign, the TAT aims to showcase the province as a “modern and attractive destination”. It will focus on a series of key elements, including handicrafts, national parks and beaches, the local culture and cuisine.
“Nakhon Si Thammarat is an amazing destination with a wide variety of tourist attractions and activities that will enchant people of all ages,” said TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn.
“There is not only stunning natural scenery, but also interesting historical and archaeological sites, charming local ways of life and authentic cuisine, unique to the area. It’s really worth visiting this lovely area of Thailand,” he added.
Located on southern Thailand’s gulf coast, south of Surat Thani and east of Krabi, Nakhon Si Thammarat is connected to Bangkok with regular flights by Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and Thai AirAsia. It is also on connected to Bangkok by rail.
