Grand Park Kodhipparu, Maldives – a new one-island-one-resort destination with 120 luxury villas and facilities officially opened on the 2nd December. Close to 200 VIP guests attended the grand opening hosted by the Park Hotel Group and Chip Eng Seng Group.

The celebratory dinner event, featuring a lineup of traditional Maldivian performances and exciting entertainment commenced with a rousing Boduberu song and dance commonly seen during festivals and celebrations. This was followed by the official sounding of the ‘gong’ that symbolises new beginnings and ushering in of good luck. Celebrations continued into the night as guests were treated to an epicurean experience and thrilling fire dance performances from Sri Lanka before concluding with the release of Chinese sky lanterns containing all the hope and well wishes that everyone has for the new resort.
