5月21日，“盛世公主”号邮轮在意大利罗马正式启动了 “沿海上丝绸之路，讲中国故事”活动，向西方游客展示中国文化。
“盛世公主”号将于6月26日抵达中国厦门。此次航行共迎来了４０多个国家的7000多名游客。航程中，邮轮上将举办一系列文化交流活动，以视觉、听觉、味觉的方式，生动、全面、互动地展示中国文化的丰富多彩，使这艘海上丝路邮轮成为相识、相通、相知的“友好交往之轮”，以及展示、领略、感知中国文化的“流动金色大厅”。
全国友协会长李小林在启动仪式上表示：“海上丝绸之路是东西方文化交融之路，源于不同文明之间的相互吸引，我们希望通过本次活动，让更多国际朋友认识、了解、感受、喜爱丰富多彩、开放包容的中国文化和丝路精神。”
