Owing to the pandemic situation, local tours under the “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project were suspended from 25 September to 22 October. As the pandemic situation moves towards stability in Macao, operation of the local tours has resumed now. Interested individuals can sign up for the tours through travel agencies under the project or the special information counters at six local hotels and integrated resorts.
12 itineraries at your choice
The “Stay, Dine and See Macao” project is rolling out local tours for the third phase from September to December. At present, 12 itineraries are available for residents’ choice. Local tours set off not only on weekends and public holidays but also from Monday to Friday nights, besides certain daily-run itineraries.
Two daily itineraries include: explore Nossa Senhora Village of Ká Hó; VR experience/encounter with celebrities + explore Coloane Karting Track + Portuguese egg tart DIY experience;
The itinerary for exploring the history of Macao and Macau Grand Prix is available from Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays;
Two itineraries available from Monday to Friday nights include: maritime tour with buffet dinner on ferry followed by open-top bus ride for mesmerizing night view;
Six itineraries available on weekends and public holidays include: explore Coloane Karting Track and enjoy the nature at Seac Pai Van Park; visit Macao Science Center and learn about life of legendary figures; experience ZIPCITY or GoAirborne and visit the Taipa Houses; three itineraries combining different experiences as follows: maritime tour with buffet dinner on ferry, enjoy panoramic view of the city at Macau Tower, open-top sightseeing bus tour and floral appreciation at the Taipa Houses, among other elements.
An itinerary which mainly encompasses the mega ethnic dance drama show “MGM Awakening Lion” and visit to the Taipa Old Village is also available on specific dates: 20, 21, 24 and 25 December.
Weave mega events and community tourism into itineraries
To enrich the diversity of experience offered by local tours, the itineraries are planned to include nighttime sightseeing experience for participants to enjoy Macao Light Festival and Light up Macao Drone Gala in December, among other highlights. The project will also weave community tourism activities into the itineraries for residents to relish the unique dynamic and charm of different communities, to boost spending in communities.
Travel agencies spotlight local tours online
Following the announcement that the “Stay, Dine and see Macao” local tours has resumed, local travel agencies fervently spotlight local tours via different online platforms such as WeChat and Facebook in hoping of attracting more signups among residents.
