The most stressed city in the world is the Egyptian capital of Cairo, achieving an overall score of 7.67, which is significantly higher than the average score of 4.16. Cairo has one of the lowest LGBTQ+ safety ratings at -96, and also the second-lowest cleanliness rating of all cities on the list at 17.22.
In second and third place, Delhi, India and Karachi, Pakistan also make the top three most stressed cities in the world with scores of 6.96 and 6.47. Delhi and Karachi have the highest levels of air pollution in the world, while over 17% of the Delhi population lives in poverty.
