Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has appointed of Majid Sulaiman Al Qassabi as its new Country Manager – Oman. An aviation veteran with a career spanning 14 years, Al Qassabi has held leadership positions at several top companies in Oman and the wider GCC region, having begun his journey at Oman Air. On his return to the company, his new role will include managing the sales, operations and business development in Oman, the airline’s home-base and one of its key markets.

Al Qassabi has built up an impressive track record, having worked in major airlines and travel technology companies across Oman and the GCC. Most recently, he was part of the launch team for Oman’s first low-cost carrier, where he built an extensive network of B2B partnerships, both with travel agents and corporate clients. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Coventry University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman.
