Mercure Paignton Hotel opens with 161 keys in the UK

Accor announced the opening of Mercure Paignton Hotel  in the UK. Located on the Seafront, the new-build hotel overlooks the promenade, pier and  beach, making it the perfect choice for a seaside break in picturesque Devon.

Inspired by the golden age of The English Riviera, Mercure Paignton Hotel has revived the  illustrious grandeur of the historical seaside resort with a modern twist. A calming colour  scheme, featuring dark woods, brass finishes and vintage local graphics can be found  throughout as a tribute to the surrounding area’s rich history and restful nature.

After soaking up the sea air, guests can return to one of the 161 spacious and comfortable  bedrooms, ranging from double to Privilege rooms. Those seeking the ultimate relaxation  can upgrade to the Privilege room, with increased space and extraordinary coastal views.  Other facilities include a fully equipped gym and a contemporary onsite restaurant.  Latitude 50 offers a unique-all day dining experience with stunning bay views and an  outdoor terrace that is ideal for cocktails with friends. The hotel has a beautiful lounge and  two flexible event spaces that can accommodate up to 35 guests for conferences, meetings  and events.

Situated at the heart of a quintessentially British leisure spot and UNESCO Global Geopark,  Mercure Paignton Hotel is an excellent base for exploring some of the UK’s greatest  coastlines. The nearby coastal towns of Torquay, Brixham and Paignton itself guarantee  beautiful beaches and harbours, full of attractions and activities for friends, families and  couples to enjoy.

Conveniently situated just a 10-minute walk from Paignton train station and served with  trains from London Paddington, the newest addition to Devon’s hotel scene is easily  accessible to those travelling from further afield.

Mercure Paignton Hotel will follow the ALLSAFE safety standard developed by Accor in  cooperation with Bureau Veritas. ALLSAFE includes heightened health and safety  requirements, including protocols for sanitising and disinfecting rooms, public areas,  tracking the health of guests and staff, providing disinfectants to guests, and new  regulations for room service and restaurant operations. ALLSAFE standards are designed to  provide guests with a safe and relaxing stay without sacrificing quality of service.
