Moscow Domodedovo Airport has increased the number of screening zones. Now passengers and guests of the air harbor have access to two new entrance groups, which are located in the T2 segment of the passenger terminal, designed to serve international flights.
A multi-level service system has been implemented in T2, which provides for the separation of passenger flows. Entrances and exits for arriving and departing travelers are located on different levels of the terminal building and the forecourt. For passengers departing on international flights, the zero entrance group is most convenient, after passing through which the passenger immediately finds himself in the T2 check-in area. For those who have returned from a trip, the entrance group, which is located next to the arrival area, is best suited.
The capacity of the terminal’s entrance groups has increased by 20% due to an increase in the number of inspection channels. Now passengers and guests of the airport can use 5 entrance groups to the terminal complex, evenly distributed along the entire building. At the same time, each entrance group is equipped with inspection channels, the number of which is regulated depending on the flow of passengers.
Moscow Domodedovo Airport uses a new generation of X-ray television introscopes, which are installed at security checkpoints at the entrance to the terminal building. This is an advanced two-course system for baggage and hand luggage inspection, which has an intelligent program for automated detection of liquid and solid explosives.
