Maharashtra Tourism showcased the rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and its urban allure at the WTM London 2023, held at ExCel London, from November 06th to 08th.
The Stand was inaugurated by. V. Vidyavathi, IAS – Union Tourism Secretary, in the esteemed presence of Vikram Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom.
The Maharashtra Tourism Pavilion attracted a significant number of visitors looking to explore the state’s diverse offerings. Crafted to offer an immersive journey, the exhibit was a visual symphony, adorned with captivating imagery, interactive showcases, and cultural treasures that beautifully encapsulated the very soul of Maharashtra. Visitors to the pavilion were mesmerized by the cultural heritage showcasing the ancient forts and temples, the breathtaking landscapes from the lush hills of the Western Ghats, to serene beaches of the Konkan coast, not miss the UNESCO-listed Ellora and Ajanta Caves, the thrilling adventure opportunities and wildlife safaris in the renowned national parks like Tadoba, Pench, and Bhimashankar Wildlife sanctuary.
During the WTM, the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, hosted an engaging Roadshow in London on 8th November 2023. The event was attended by travel trade representatives, media professionals, and buyers from the UK who came together to witness the glory of Maharashtra’s tourism offerings.
The Roadshow showcased Maharashtras’s cultural legacy, featuring traditional forms of folk dances such as Lavani, that eloquently portrayed the state’s artistic grandeur. The event concluded with an informative networking session, providing attendees with a valuable platform to engage with the travel trade.
The discussions sparked at WTM London 2023 are set to elevate Maharashtra to the forefront of travel destinations, solidifying its status as a must-visit destination for those in search of a seamless blend of culture and nature.
