Emirates has once again proven its dominance in the aviation industry by clinching top honours at three major award ceremonies: the Business Travel Middle East Awards (BTME), World Travel Awards (WTA) 2024, and International Loyalty Awards 2024. These accolades are a testament to the airline’s commitment to excellence and continuous efforts to enhance the travel experience for its customers.
The award ceremonies, alongside the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, saw Emirates being crowned as the ‘Best Airline Worldwide’ at the BTME 2024. The airline also received recognition for its ‘Best Premium Economy Class’, ‘Best First Class’, ‘Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East’, and ‘Best Frequent Flyer Programme’.
Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for Emirates, and Dr Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Skywards, accepted the awards, underscoring the airline’s leadership in the region.
At the WTA 2024, Emirates continued its winning streak, securing titles for ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline 2024’, ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline – First Class 2024’, and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme 2024 – Skywards’.
The International Loyalty Awards 2024 recognized Emirates Skywards as the ‘Global Loyalty Programme of the Year Middle East’, highlighting its global reach and value to its 30 million members.
Emirates’ dedication to providing world-class services is evident in its recent initiatives, including introducing complimentary loungewear, meal pre-ordering for Business Class passengers, and reopening eight refreshed Emirates Lounges worldwide. Additionally, the airline has rolled out 16 more A380s with the latest cabin interiors after an extensive retrofit.
In a significant announcement at the Arabian Travel Market, Emirates revealed plans to expand its retrofit program to include 71 A380s and Boeing 777s, bringing the total to 191 aircraft. This ambitious project aims to ensure that Emirates customers will continue to enjoy an unparalleled flying experience.
By February 2025, Emirates will offer its sought-after Premium Economy product to travellers in 42 cities, coinciding with introducing the first batch of A350 aircraft into its fleet.
