Sabre Corporation announced the renewal of its distribution agreement with Air Niugini. The deal will ensure that the airline can continue to reach Sabre’s extensive network of global travel buyers, while giving Sabre-connected travel agents ongoing access to Air Niugini content.
The renewal further reinforces the strong, long-term relationship between Air Niugini and Sabre. Air Niugini uses the SabreSonic Passenger Service System (PSS) to deliver a more tailored customer experience and capture full revenue opportunities. The carrier has also renewed its agreement with Sabre to be a distributor of Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS) in Papua New Guinea, giving travel agents in the Pacific region opportunities to adopt Sabre’s intuitive Sabre Red 360 workspace.

Based out of Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby, Air Niugini provides the country’s most comprehensive domestic network linking scattered communities throughout the country and local businesses with each other. In a country with little roading infrastructure the airline plays a vital role in the development of Papua New Guinea. It also connects Papua New Guinea to the world, with direct international flights to destinations including Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, Solomon Islands, and Fiji.
