Alserkal Avenue presents Interrupting Patterns, a programme that invites audiences to collectively sit with the interruption of time itself during Ramadan—a moment in the year that shifts our rhythms, bringing us together in reflection.
Rooted in fiction, the programme asks: What happens when we break our everyday routines?
What new, marvelous stories emerge when we rethink the ones we’ve inherited? Through poetry, performance, film, and theatre—including dedicated sessions for children—Interrupting Patterns moves between forms and genres, challenging how stories are told, revealing hidden perspectives, reviving forgotten truths, and posing new questions to old narratives.
The programme unfolds over two weekends: March 8–9 & March 15–16 at Alserkal Avenue.
