Visitors to Thailand’s biggest market, Chatuchak, will soon be able to stay overnight in a new brand new hotel.
Best Western has revealed plans to open a midscale property adjacent to Kampang Phet MRT subway station. This will be on the doorstep of Chatuchak, which is also one of Asia’s biggest markets with approximately 8,000 stalls.
Scheduled to open in early 2020, Best Western Chatuchak will feature 168 rooms, all featuring free Wi-Fi and other modern amenities. As well as being next to the market and MRT, the hotel will be located close to Mo Chit BTS skytrain station and Bangkok’s elevated highway network, making it accessible from the airports and the rest of the city.
This accessibility and close proximity to Don Mueang International Airport, Bangkok’s low-cost terminal, is expected to make the hotel popular for affordable weekend shopping breaks.
