All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, has announced that check-in cut-off time for ANA international flights departing from Haneda Airport will be changed from 40 minutes to 60 minutes prior to departure. This change will go into effect on 27 October 2019.

In addition, for all domestic flights from any airport in Japan, the cut-off time for passing through the security check point will be changed from 15 minutes to 20 minutes. This change will also go into effect on 27 October 2019. Similar changes were instituted last year on domestic flights departing from Haneda Airport.

ANA is enacting this policy to ensure passengers pass through security and arrive at their boarding gates with ease and on time for boarding. “We sincerely appreciate the kind understanding and cooperation of our passengers,” said Masaki Yokai, senior vice president of ANA. “To prepare for 2020 and beyond, we aim to adopt various measures to create the best possible experience for our most valuable customers.”
