Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced the theme for the CLIA Cruise Conference as ‘Generation Cruise’.
It has named 2018 #GenerationCruise and with over 1.9 million holidaymakers choosing to take a cruise each year, the organisation is encouraging agents to join in with the theme by highlighting all of the experiences on offer.
Andy Harmer, SVP membership & director, CLIA UK & Ireland said:
“The conference is the largest travel agent event in the UK and is an opportunity to bring the whole cruise community together. The event provides agents with the chance to gain industry updates and trends, hear from key speakers sharing knowledge about their area of specialism and meet face to face with cruise line representatives and industry partners to better educate themselves and to help to grow their business. This year’s sessions will all come under the theme of ‘Generation Cruise’ and we look forward to revealing more about this to our agent delegates in the New Year.”
The 12th annual CLIA Conference 2018 will be held in Southampton on 23 – 25 May 2018 with an optional ship visit on 26 May for agents keen to learn more.
The three-day event will feature a trade fair, gala dinner and a full day’s conference with speakers from the UK and global cruise industry.
It will also allow agents to network with CLIA member cruise lines, and to experience Oceania Cruises’ Marina; Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess and Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Silhouette.
Further announcements will also be made regarding keynote speakers and the theme of the conference in early 2018.
