Prepare for an exhilarating display of aerial prowess as the English Riviera’s much-anticipated Airshow returns on 01 – 02 June 2024. Set against the stunning backdrop of the South Devon coastline, this year’s event promises to be bigger, bolder, and more breathtaking than ever before. 

From gravity-defying stunts to precision formations, the Airshow will feature a dynamic line-up of aerial performances, including appearances by iconic aircraft and state-of-the-art jets. Spectators can look forward to witnessing jaw-dropping manoeuvres and adrenaline-fuelled feats leaving them on the edge of their seats.

Beyond the spectacular aerial displays, the English Riviera’s Airshow offers a host of ground attractions and activities for visitors of all ages. From interactive exhibits to delicious food stalls and family entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the weekend.

For the first time in the Airshow’s history, there will be a special opening night on the Friday before the event where visitors can enjoy a great line-up of live music headlined by The Barefoot Bandits. Another new addition for 2024 is a static spitfire where visitors can see the iconic aircraft up close. As well as air and ground displays, there will be a variety of activities and boat trips on the water, giving everyone the chance to see the show from the sea.

Red Arrows Pilot and Squadron Leader Jon Bond, the new Team Leader and Red 1 for the 2024 season said: “This summer is a special occasion for the Red Arrows, it is the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team’s 60th display season. We can’t wait to bring a new nine-aircraft display to the English Riviera Airshow, celebrating this great heritage and inspiring the future.

“For the new show, people can expect a return of our most iconic shape, the Diamond Nine, which has not been seen since 2021. We have incorporated maneuvers that haven’t been performed for more than a decade, while ensuring that staple crowd favourites remain, including the famous Tornado, where two jets roll around the outside of the other seven.

“I’m thrilled to have the chance to continue that legacy in our diamond year and by flying as the Diamond Nine, which I know generations of aviation fans and families have enjoyed.”

The English Riviera Airshow, held annually since 2016, is the UK’s premier aviation event. It combines thrilling flying displays with ground-based festivities, captivating audiences of all ages. The Airshow is a collaborative effort supported by Torbay Council, the English Riviera BID Company, local businesses and organisations, and aviation enthusiasts.
