Etihad Airways has confirmed that it will deploy its largest aircraft, the Airbus A380, on its Abu Dhabi-Paris route this summer.

The double-decker jet will operate one of the airline’s twice daily services to the French capital between 1 July and 28 October 2017. This will make Paris the fifth destination in Etihad’s A380 network, joining London, Sydney, New York and Melbourne.

Passengers on this route will now be able to experience Etihad’s latest cabin products, including the three-room Residence which features a living room, bedroom and shower.

“Flying our flagship product to France with additional seat capacity helps fulfil growing demand and meet our guests’ expectations for an even greater travel experience,” said Peter Baumgartner, Etihad’s CEO. “Paris is one of our busiest and best performing European routes, so the deployment of this upgraded service will benefit travellers to and from Abu Dhabi, and our popular connecting cities across Asia and Australia.”

The new A380 flight, EY31, will depart Abu Dhabi International Airport at 0215 and arrive at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 0750. The return flight, EY32, will then leave the French capital at 1040 and arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 1930.

Passengers will be able to connect to and from multiple destinations in the Asia Pacific region, including Brisbane, Perth, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Manila, Shanghai, Delhi and Mumbai.

In total, Etihad’s A380 can seat up to 496 passengers, including two in the Residence, nine in first class, 70 in business class and 415 in economy.
