HONG KONG
INTERNATIONAL
TRAVEL EXPO
The 39th edition
12 June (Thu)-15 June (Sun) 2025
Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (Hall 1)

ITE Hong Kong 2025 named by the Hong Kong Government as Mega Event, an honor which we would like to share with all ITE participants! For many years, the annual ITE is Hong Kong’s only and Asia’s major international travel fair.

In its early years, the annual ITE only covered leisure travel, but from 2006 it started incorporate also MICE travel.  ITE Hong Kong 2025, incorporates the 39th ITE (Leisure) & the 20th ITE MICE, is its 39th edition since launching and the 5th physical edition since Covid-19.

No exception, ITE been seriously affected first by social unrest in Hong Kong in 2019, then by the global pandemic since early 2020.  Our record – ITE in 2019 held in mid-June as scheduled; canceled in 2020; and again held physically each year since 2021.

ITE Covers Major & Fast Recovering Markets

The Greater Bay Area (the Bay), which had a combined population of over 86 million and GDP of US$1.97 trillion in 2023, includes cities like Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. The Bay would have ranked World’s 11th largest economy after Canada which had a GDP of US$2.122 trillion.

Hong Kong, the world’s 12th and Asia’s 3rd largest market by international travel spending in 2019, been recovering quickly. Specifically, over 72 million departures in 2023 which 77% pre-pandemic; and 49.5 million departures in first half of 2024 which up 54% over last year.

ITE2024

– Used 1 more to a total of 5 halls, which same as in pre-pandemic years.

– Highly international, 87% of its over 500 exhibitors from outside and overseas.

– 46% of its buyers and visitors in 2 trade days from outside and overseas.

– Two public days mainly attend by premium FIT.

Thus, ITE has an early start and also a quality recovery from Covid-19! In fact, outside and overseas exhibitors outnumber the locals in all post pandemic editions.

Why exhibiting in ITE Hong Kong?

First held over 30 years ago, the annual ITE Hong Kong is for many years the city’s only and Asia’s leading international travel fair. It has two days for visitors from travel and MICE trade from locally and regionally so ITE also covers neighboring markets; and another two days for public with visitors mainly premium FIT who worthy targets for direct promotion or selling.

Though exhibitors largely arranged by geography as there are many official pavilions from various destinations, ITE runs separate visitor promotion campaigns for travel trade, corporations and MICE, and the public.
Mainly free flow, ITE also runs Business Matching for sellers quick-dating buyers. Also, it assists exhibitors in pre-show and onsite publicity, and hold seminar for trade or public visitors. Please click below button for details of our free and optional B2B and B2C services.

In short, ITE exhibitors can in one platform but different day conduct business with travel and MICE trade from major markets of Hong Kong and China (mainland) particular from Guangdong, and premium FIT.

International Exhibitors & Quality Visitors

ITE2024 exhibitors, buyers and trade visitors respectively had 87% and 46% coming from outside and overseas; and some 90% of its 63000 public visitors being premium FIT. In all, ITE2024 over 80% recovered comparing to pre-pandemic years.

Including private tour, FIT account for 70% to nearly 90% (*1) of outbound. The ITE2023 public survey found “FIT only 70%; Half-Half 22% and Package Tour only 8%” <*1: 70 + (70 x 70 / 78) = 89.7% >. They often are frequent travelers and some 2/3 to spend more on travel in coming year!

Among all trade visitors, 45% from travel agents and 28% from corporations & MICE; while overall 28% from mainland China particularly from the Guangdong, and 18% from other parts of Asia.
