When traveling for business, you’re usually moving at a fast pace and really want to keep a handle on how much luggage you have, so you’re not constantly worrying about packing and unpacking. It’s also important to bring the right tech gadgets to make your trip go more smoothly. Here are five essential items we are loving for business travel this summer.
1. I.R.I.S IRIScanAnywhere5 Scanner
Scan all those receipts and send them directly back to accounting for reimbursement before you even get home with the I.R.I.S IRIScan Anywhere 5 portable wireless scanner. Made by the Canon company, it is super compact and even slides into carry-on luggage, but can quickly convert paper documents to digital files that can then be wireless transferred.
2. Parker Dusseau Japanese Organic Linen/Cotten Classic Work Shirt
For a functional, comfortable yet stylish business style men’s travel shirt, we are loving the new Japanese Organic Linen/Cotten Classic Work Shirt by Parker Dusseau this season. It’s made with lightweight and breathable fabric wrapped in a tailored fit to meet on-the-go lifestyle demands. The open weave fabric allows for circulation, while the signature action back provides a polished, tailored look. The shirt is hand crafted in Portugal by the esteemed Triple Marfel family factory, a generations old business with a community atmosphere and familial vibe, and comes in three color choices: Indigo Stone, Sky and Sand.
3. SkyRoll Luggage
We love SkyRoll luggage for business travelers because it takes the worry out of wrinkling clothes while traveling. The SkyRoll on Wheels lets you roll up suits and dresses instead of folding them in what looks like a standard carry-on suitcase. The way it works is the large clothes go in a garment bag that wraps around the outside of the suitcase and are designed to be used together. To pack, simply place the SkyRoll on a bed, unclip the three ending clips and unroll the garment bag. Unclip the garment bag from the suitcase and unzip it to pack suits, dresses, or other large clothes, then zip it up. Pack the suitcase as you would any suitcase, then clip on the packed garment bag, roll it up around the suitcase and tighten the end clips. The SkyRoll Spinner is the latest in the series and specifically designed for women traveling with long dresses.
4. Brinno’s TLC200 Pro
If you need to film your business trip, check out the Brinno TLC 200 Pro, which comes with an innovative time lapse feature, that easily lets you capture video memories on holiday. The camera can turn an entire hike, road trip or European holiday and instantly create a ready to watch time lapse video. It’s a fun concept for sharing with colleagues and for social media, as all the effort is taken out of editing. The camera is really user friendly as well, making it easy for beginners to pick-up — or to lend out to other employees on a business trip.
5. iFly Hardshell Suitcase
Another essential pick for frequent business travel is the iFly hardshell suitcase. They are made with durable thermal plastic that gives them strength and flexibility and come in three convenient sizes, including one for carry on. There are a number of different styles of hard-shells but the Carbon Racing series is our favorite. It combines refined styling and carbon fiber design and has plenty of packing space in various pockets. Best of all, the four easy-spin double wheels make handling effortless, even in crowded airports.
6. Ventev 3000c Chargestand
When you just don’t have time to charge your phone, bring along the Ventev 3000c Chargestand on a business travel trip. It is a two-in-one portable battery and phone stand with an integrated charging cable that lets you prop your phone up in portrait or landscape orientation while it charges. It can even be used as a stand for your phone when you’re on a video conference call and need stability – and it has a built in microphone for clear calling.
