Galaxy Macau joins hands with celebrated Chinese paper sculptor Wen Qiuwen to present Macau’s very first large-scale paper sculpture exhibition—a captivating experience for locals and tourists alike. Cultural Affairs Bureau, Macao Government Tourism Office and Macau Artist Society are the supporting unit of the exhibition. This campaign aimed at promoting Macau’s unique “Tourism + Culture” proposition, which offers visitors a diverse array of cultural and entertainment experiences— building the city’s reputation as a “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure”.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the restaurants at Galaxy Macau will be introducing special summer menus that showcase the vibrant flavours of the season. And for sun worshippers, the Grand Resort Deck reopens for the season, letting visitors splash into summer at the world’s leading skytop water park.
Kicking off summer with a spectacular launch event

In the speech at the Opening Ceremony, Philip Cheng Yee Sing, the Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group said: “We remain committed to collaborate with the Macau SAR Government to promote Macau’s “Tourism+” cross-sector integration and engages visitors with a diverse range of experiences combining culture. We believe the collaboration with renowned Chinese paper sculptor Wen Qiuwen is a perfect opportunity to bring Chinese culture to the tourist from the world and also helping to build Macau as World Centre of Tourism and leisure.”
A paper garden to dazzle the senses
Prepare to be spellbound by Wen Qiuwen’s enchanting paper garden at Galaxy Macau, where a vibrant and playful universe awaits. Step into a candy-coloured garden where whimsical creatures bask in the warmth of summer, illuminating the Milky Way and infusing every corner with vitality. Butterflies and birds dance amidst glittering stars, while flamingos, robins and hares frolic alongside a colourful school of fish. This immersive journey blends virtual and reality, tantalising all the senses.
Wen Qiuwen, Chinese Paper Sculptor is recognized for her works that combine paper art and light sculpture, the most famous of which include “Southern Lion Girl” and “Shanhai Fish Lantern”. Her works are seen as Chinese symbols and have been exhibited at the Centre Pompidou in France, as well as art festivals in Italy, Hong Kong and various cities in Mainland China. For the collaboration with Galaxy Macau, Wen Qiuwen imagined a “Galactical Botanical Garden”, crafting a dream-like world where planets and stars revel in a summer garden brimming with exotic plants, blooming flowers, and every manner of finned, feathered and furry friends. Large-scale paper sculpture will be presented in Diamond Lobby, East Square, Crystal Lobby and Pearl Lobby in Galaxy Macau.
