The airline will operate the route with thrice weekly flights taking off every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flight HX670 is scheduled to depart from Hong Kong Airport (HKG) at 08:45 and arrive at Kagoshima Airport (KOJ) at 12:55. From KOJ, flight HX671 is slated to leave at 13:55, arriving in Hong Kong at 16:15.

As one of the local carriers offering the most frequent flights to and from the Kyushu region in Japan, Hong Kong Airlines provides travellers with additional options, making travel arrangements more convenient and allowing them to fully experience the many popular tourist destinations in Japan.

To commemorate the relaunch, a ceremony was held at Kagoshima Airport. Mr Koichi Shiota, the Governor of Kagoshima Prefecture, together with Mr Chen Yuan, General Manager of Hong Kong Airlines Japan Branch, welcomed passengers aboard the first flight. Airport staff also warmly greeted guests and interacted with passengers, distributing bespoke souvenirs from Kagoshima to share the joy of the occasion.
