As we look forward to when the world re-opens for travel, who we’re with is just as important as where we go. Tanah Gajah, a resort by Hadiprana, in Bali has created a stay package that makes the best of both.
The Art of Reuniting, a limited-time buyout offer has been designed to bring extended family, friends or even co-workers together, who may have been separated due to the pandemic. The spacious resort, moored among the rice paddies of Ubud, features twenty individual villas that are spread out over six hectares. The property is large enough to offer guests plenty of space but also intimate enough that the entire resort can be booked out by a group (with a minimum stay of two nights) through The Art of Reuniting package.
“People have been separated and isolated for over a year and life’s milestones from birthdays to weddings have all been put on hold or celebrated in different ways,” said Deasy Swandarini, GM of Tanah Gajah. “We know people are eager to reconnect and celebrate in real life and so we’ve developed this package to help groups do so safely when international routes re-open.”
The resort has had strict hygiene protocols in place over the course of COVID-19 and was recently given a 100% score for its CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety and environment) certification, from the Indonesian government.
The Art of Reuniting is suitable for corporate retreats, with meeting spaces available on site; weddings, both Balinese style and western; and family reunions, with group activities like rice paddy trekking, a hot air balloon ride above the resort, and fishing; as well as wellness retreats, with an open air yoga pavilion and a head chef who can cater to all dietary needs.
The resort’s sister property, Dua Dari, has also launched a buyout package for smaller groups. Formerly the private residence of the legendary Indonesian architect and designer, Hendra Hadiprana, Dua Dari consists of four residences in a valley overlooking the Petanu River. Hadiprana’s extensive art collection can still be found throughout the site. Guests can take an art tour through the property, relax by the pool, take a picnic afternoon tea, or take the complimentary shuttle into Ubud.
Tanah Gajah has also partnered with Garuda Indonesia on charter flights from around Indonesia and other international destinations the airline frequents.
