IndiGo has commenced operations to Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC or Saigon) from Kolkata. The airline inaugurated the first direct flight on Kolkata-Ho Chi Minh City route, making Ho Chi Minh City the airline’s 22nd international and seventh Southeast Asian destination, after the launch of Hanoi earlier this month.
William Boulter, chief commercial officer at IndiGo said: “Ho Chi Minh City holds immense potential for both business and leisure travellers. In our endeavour to connect more international destinations with key Indian cities, we are confident that this route will be a step towards promotion of trade, tourism and mobility between the two nations.”
These new flights are designed to cater to business and leisure travellers who are constantly on the lookout for new and affordable flying options. The opening of this new market not only reinforces the carrier’s commitment to enhance its international operations in the Eastern region.
