The Peruvian government has announced that mandatory quarantine for foreign travellers entering the country will be lifted, although flights of over eight hours and connections with Brazil will remain suspended.

Requirements for international tourists wishing to travel to Peru will be the same as applicable up to December 2020, with a negative PCR test result for Covid-19, in addition to the mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields at airport facilities and inside airplanes. The new measures announced by the ministry are aimed at restarting the industry which is an important contributor of their economy.

Among other measures announced, visitors are to take an antigen test upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport. No tests are needed for domestic flights within the country but tourist have to sign an affidavit stating they do not have any symptoms of Covid 19.
