IWTA speaks with Katharine Ng,
Director of Training – OneCrew

Background:

Born and raised in Malaysia, her aviation journey started as a flight attendant for Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways, when she moved to Hong Kong and sent 8 years with Cathay Pacific’s Human Factors Department as project leader. 

She found a passion in helping people which she found the aviation industry was aligned with and she took it to another level as she stepped into the Human Resources department and latter meant she got involved with OneCrew to focus on development of aviation employees.  

Summary: 

Her impressive background includes co-founding Viva Macau Airlines in 2004 and helped to secure initial funding for the airline start up helping to gain the airline’s air operator’s certificate. She also turned her focus during covid to mental health and how her and her team could break down the barriers and open the conversation around the importance of focusing on the well being of people.
