Sofitel Hotels & Resorts has announced the official opening of itsSo Spa concept at the Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara this week.
The new treatment centre, found on its own dedicated floor in the hotel, stretches more than 343 sqm and incorporates a holistic philosophy of wellness which the So Spa team describes as a place “where harmony and tranquillity gently restores the body, mind and soul”.
Comprised of seven therapy and beauty rooms, including a couple’s room and separate male and female private hammam rooms, the So SPA features a deep relaxation area – for post treatment chill-out sessions – and a patio for guests to mingle while enjoying refreshments and healthy snacks.
So SPA also offers treatments that are inspired by Malaysian influences such as the Malay Urut massage, which uses long, kneading strokes that focus on improving blood pressure as well stimulating energy points and relieving tired muscles.
The Oriental Massage is a traditional deep tissue massage technique, which integrates ancient Chinese acupressure and Shiatsu elements to relief the body from fatigue and stiffness. Other treatments include the So Exhilarating Massage and So Rejuvenating Facial.
For a hammam purist, So SPA at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara also features the first luxury private hammam room for males and females in Kuala Lumpur.
The So Hammam experience begins with the Maghreb traditional cleansing ritual, using Savon Noir Beldi olive rich black soup, followed by Ghassoul mud body wrap. The ritual ends with a full body massage using a combination of tea elixir and Argon oil.
To celebrate the opening of the So SPA, guests can enjoy the So Relaxing Massage and Aromachologie Phyto Facial for 60 minutes at RM300.00 (USD 74.12) each from now until 31 July 2018.
