LATAM Airlines Group has announced that it will offer two new European flights in 2018 from Rome, Italy and Lisbon, Portugal to São Paulo/Guarulhos, Brazil.

It will connect Europe to the 120 destinations in Latin America.

From 17 March next year, LATAM Airlines Brazil will introduce a new direct flight that will connect Rome to São Paulo/Guarulhos, Brazil three times a week (the frequency will increase to five times a week in July 2018).

This will be the group’s second destination in Italy after Milan.

With its affiliates, it also plans to offer flights from Lisbon to São Paulo in the second half of 2018 – subject to regulatory approval – with further details about this new route to be communicated in the coming months.

Rodrigo Contreras, vice president Europe of LATAM Airlines Group said:
“As part of LATAM’s continued commitment to provide the most comprehensive network to and from Latin America, in 2018 we are excited to offer passengers even more travel options with two new long-haul destinations. This represents a significant growth for LATAM in Brazil and is part of our long-term strategy to improve connectivity between Europe and Latin America. With convenient connections throughout Latin America, these routes will open new opportunities for bilateral tourism and trade not only in Brazil, but also within the Latin American region.”

The airline currently serves six destinations in Europe with direct flights to Latin America, including Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, London, Frankfurt and Milan.
