Luxury hotel Le Méridien Bangkok secured the win as the Business Hotel of the Year at the inaugural TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2024 – Thailand for its recent renovation that has focused on enriching guest experiences through art, cuisine, and exceptional service.
The reconceptualised hotel reaches 24 storeys into the City of Angel’s skyline, towering in contemporary sophistication at the heart of the pulsating Silom commercial district and just metres from the energetic Patpong Night Market.
Each of its 282 newly renovated guest rooms and suites captures the colourful views unfolding below through floor-to-ceiling windows. They span at least 36 sqm and feature an exceptional open bathroom concept. They also feature standard amenities such as a productive work desk, high-speed internet access, Bluetooth speaker, and connectivity panel to the LED TV.
Meanwhile, its room decoration is infused with essences of Thai culture swathed around equipment and features tailored to international travellers’ lifestyles. Cosseted beneath chic cream canopies, the rooms restore calm through muted tones and minimalist decoration.
Le Méridien Bangkok also takes pride in its two innovative restaurants, a bar, and a stylish lounge that entice guests with menus introducing stimulating cuisine, creative cocktails, and an international range of coffee blends.
These distinctive venues include Rolling Ribs Brew Bar & BBQ, a Memphis-style smokehouse grill; Tempo Bar, an homage to mid-century values; Latitude 13°, a modern reinterpretation of the traditional hotel lobby where gathering happens, and; Plunge Bar beside the pool.
For business and social events, the hotel presents six stylish meeting rooms and a private unique event space perfect for intimate corporate and private functions. Its other venues feature 7-metre-high ceilings, making all kinds of gatherings both pleasant and productive. At least half of the portfolio enjoys natural lighting, energising the room and creating a high meeting environment during the daytime.
