New agriculture bill to boost hospitality sector

UKHospitality has welcomed the publication of the government’s agriculture bill, along with the supply-chain security it will provide to hospitality businesses and the sustainability benefits that it will ultimately facilitate.

Kate Nicholls, chief executive at UKHospitality said: “Businesses have naturally been concerned about their ability to trade smoothly and effectively following Brexit. For hospitality businesses, this new bill brings a measure of reassurance that their food supply chains will continue to flow, and venues will still be able to offer customers the food and drink they want.”

For hospitality businesses and their customers, sustainability is becoming an increasingly important issue, as highlighted by UKHospitality’s Future Shock report.
