Following the recent announcement that Rove will launch in Vietnam, the Asian DMC has now added Malaysia to its network with a new trekking tour in Borneo.
The new 11-day tour is focused on the island’s remote wilderness and includes “some water-based activities”, according to the company. The tour is already live on the Rove website.
“Our expansion into Borneo highlights our philosophy at Rove,” said Holly Richter, the company’s co-founder. “There are plenty of operators already at work in the region, finding a good supplier is not the issue here, as with many of Asia’s destinations.
“What is difficult is tracking down the right partners that really understand engaging, immersive experiences that go beyond your typical A-to-B departures, missing out on the important interactions that should be had along the way, and that’s what we seek to offer,” she added.
With the introduction of Malaysia, Rove now offers itineraries in nine Asian countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
