Sail ‘To the Top of the World’ with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines

With destination experience topping the over-50s wish list when it comes to choosing a holiday, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has released four sailings ‘To the Top of the World’ in 2018/19, which take in remote parts of Northern Europe.

Holidaymakers can see dramatic landscapes, abandoned towns, icebergs or the Northern Lights, on the cruises to Arctic Russia, Remote Spitsbergen, Greenland and Norway, from June 2018 onwards.

Following a poll of 50,000 people aged 50 and over in October 2017, Silver Travel Advisor has revealed in its Industry Report 2018 that the chance to learn about the destination holds the strongest appeal when it comes to choosing a holiday. Nearly 50% of over-50s travellers book a getaway on this basis.

“These tempting sailings ‘To the Top of the World’ have been carefully selected to provide a lifetime of memories. Experiences range from exploring the abandoned Russian mining settlement of Pyramiden, photographing brilliant blue icebergs, or witnessing Mother Nature’s most sought-after light show, the ‘Aurora Borealis’, or ‘Northern Lights’.

The four sailings that feature in Fred. Olsen’s new ‘Top of the World’ brochure – of between eight and 16 nights’ duration – are as follows:

 

As an example, Braemar’s 16-night M1815 ‘Arctic Russia & Northern Norway’ adult-only cruise, departs from Southampton on 12 June 2018. Prices start from £1,999 per person.

Guests booking one of these cruises by 1 March 2018 can benefit from either a free all-inclusive drinks upgrade or up to £200 free shore tour credit.
