前往曼谷素万那普机场的旅客们将在未来几个月内出行受到一些影响，因为素万那铺机场的一条跑道将进行整修。
据曼谷邮报报道，北部一条跑道的1，250米的延伸区域，将进行整修维护工程，并将在今年3月3日至5月5日之间重新铺垫表面材料。这将减少素万那普机场每小时接待的起降飞机架次从68架至60架。
当然，该条跑道不会完全停止使用，小型飞机将还能从跑道上起降，只是滑行长度将被减少至2，750米。
该项工程将正逢4月庆祝的泰国新年宋干节，不过机场总经理Sirote Duangratana对曼谷邮报表示，假日的航空运输不会受到显著的影响。
