Finnair, the Official Airline of Santa Claus, has started the countdown to Christmas with a flash sale for its most festive customers. 

Finnair, the flag carrier of Finland, is set to boost its popular London Heathrow to Helsinki route this winter, as it continues to reinforce its position in the UK.

Finnair is celebrating a century of flight, having operated its first-ever service from Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia in 1924.

Finnair is bringing its new elevated long-haul experience to more destinations than ever, as it prepares to celebrate its centenary later this year. 

Finnair is celebrating 35 years of flying to China and connecting Asia with Europe. This major milestone for the Nordic carrier comes as it also celebrates its centenary as one of the earliest pioneers in aviation.

Finnair’s first flight to the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’ took off on 22 April 1983, with a new non-stop service to Tokyo-Narita, becoming the only airline at the time to offer direct flights between Western Europe and Japan. 

Finnair is shifting its sustainability efforts up a gear with the launch of a new range of environmentally focussed initiatives.
