 Hotel values across Europe rose around 3% in 2022 with Paris, London, Zurich, Amsterdam and Rome remaining those with the highest valued hotels, according to the annual European Hotel Valuation Index (HVI) published this week by global hotel consultancy HVS.

Hotel operators need to learn to manage the entire building they operate and start thinking of performance in terms of the total revenue or profit per available square metre, giving a more accurate assessment of the property’s success.
