Buyers, exhibitors and industry guests have arrived in Rotorua for MEETINGS 2024 – the national trade show for the business events sector which starts today(19 June).

Following the formation of New Zealand’s new coalition government, the business events industry is calling for all-of-government recognition for the sector. Business Events Industry Aotearoa Chief Executive, Lisa Hopkins says the industry straddles a broad variety of ministerial portfolios.

New Zealand’s first Business Events Week launched on 18 Sept with the Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) Annual Conference in Marlborough, followed by policy and business forums in Wellington and Auckland.

Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading annual business events exhibition, MEETINGS broke records this year for the projected value of business it generated.

Business Events Industry Aotearoa welcomes the lifting of all New Zealand’s COVID-19 restrictions from 15 August 2023.

Registrations are open for Business Events Industry Aotearoa’s (BEIA) annual conference in Marlborough which kicks off New Zealand’s inaugural Business Events Week on 18 September.

Rotorua has been named host city for New Zealand’s 28th national business events showcase, MEETINGS to be held at the Energy Events Centre on 19 and 20 June 2024.
