泰国政府决定，将原定这个月底到期的旅游免签证费用及落地签证半价收费的措施延长多6个月，到今年8月底。
泰国内阁日前开会后通过这项决定，希望此举能继续吸引更多外国旅客到访。
泰国政府是在去年11月30日宣布，从12月1日起，免除包括21个国家和地区的旅游签证费1000泰铢，以及将落地签证费用从2000泰铢下调到1000泰铢。
泰国旅游局长官Yuthasak Supasorn表死，“泰国旅游业越发蓬勃发展，加上来自政府的支持，我们可以继续确保作为这一地区最受欢迎旅游目的地的地位。延长免签征费政策，能鼓励旅客们继续来探索泰国的动人故事。”
