Launchpad premiered in 2016 with eight exhibitors receiving a free stand, extensive marketing support, exposure to the show’s 5,900 attendees and an entry into the inaugural Travel Technology Disrupt Award, the winner of which receives a full-sized stand worth £8,000 at the following year’s show. This also benefits attendees by introducing them to disruptive technology and an ability to create early relationships with the future titans of travel technology.
The first Travel Technology Europe Disrupt Award was won by bd4travel, an exciting start-up successfully using big data and digital empathy to help tailor online travel searches to each user. Therefore, travel companies such as Expedia are able to reach more customers with a variety of options suited to their individual lifestyles.
bd4travel is already confirmed to return to Travel Technology Europe in 2017 to exhibit, alongside more than 130 leading travel technology suppliers.
“Winning a stand at the next Travel Technology Europe show is an incredible ‘leg-up’ for us, as not only do we get to save some of our budget, which is so crucial to keep start-ups afloat, but we get unprecedented networking opportunities to meet people from around the world.” said Helge Moser, marketing manager, bd4travel.
“The show was so beneficial for us and we got involved speaking in panels and got validation and incredible feedback on future ideas and products from our possible end users. To any travel technology start-ups reading this, don’t hesitate to apply – Travel Technology Europe provides great exposure, an influential audience and opportunities and benefits well beyond the normal tradeshow experience.”
Sam Cande, group commercial director, Travel Technology Europe, added: “Travel Technology Europe is the largest show of its kind in Europe and we’re excited to give double the amount of support to start-ups through Launchpad for the upcoming event. The show has a history of introducing buyers to innovation so it means a lot that by supporting these start-ups, we’re truly helping them excel to drive the industry forward.”
