TUI River Cruises reports record sales following launch of Nile cruises

TUI River Cruises has reported its best day ever of sales across its portfolio, with a 170% increase in bookings year on year. On Wednesday 2  August, the river cruise line reported a significant uplift across all four seasons that are currently on sale, from summer 2023 to winter 2024.

Summer 2024 and winter 2024 were the seasons which saw the most growth, with TUI River Cruises’ latest addition, Legends of the Nile proving to be the most popular itinerary. On 20 July, the cruise line added Nile cruises to its collection with a fully refurbished five-star ship to be named TUI Al Horeya, which will operate seven-night, all-inclusive round-trip sailings from Luxor from winter 2024.

The Magical Danube and Rhine Explorer itineraries were the next most popular choice for customers, demonstrating demand for some of Europe’s best-loved waterways.

Chris Hackney, managing director at TUI River Cruises commented, “We’re really proud to see such strong demand for TUI River Cruises.  We were confident before we launched that our customers would love our latest offering in Egypt, but it’s fantastic to see that the appetite for Nile cruises is most definitely there, and as a result we’re seeing that halo effect across our broader product range. Our teams have worked really hard to ensure we’ve got the best product, destinations and friendly service on board our ships so that customers have the best possible experience on their cruise.”
