BEIJING, July 21, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Rizhao City in east China’s Shandong Province is working on upgrading its tourism environment to build a modern international seaside resort.
During the five-day Labor Day holiday, Rizhao received a total of 2,323,200 visits in its 18 tourist attractions, generating 46,650,000 yuan in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 497.02 percent and 666.18 percent respectively. This makes Rizhao one of the “Top 10 Destinations for Labor Day Holiday 2023”, a list released by China’s leading online search service provider Baidu.
Spanning 61.8 kilometers, the Sunshine Coast Boulevard in Rizhao connects various spots, such as wedding parks, mountain homestays, Agritainment facilities, cycling stations, and camping bases. Meanwhile, Rizhao features a series of sports events, represented by the National Tennis Team Championships and the 2023 Regional Championships of Chinese Football Association Member Association Champions League (CMCL) as well as more than 100 homestays in folk villages. As a result, plenty of ordinary blocks and villages have become popular tourist destinations.
Before the start of the Labor Day Holiday, Rizhao has set up a 700,000 yuan compensation fund for tourists, and introduced 13 sightseeing routes where you can “tour first and pay later”. With enough social credit, tourists can enjoy themselves first and cover the expenses later when they are fully satisfied with the trip. More than 4,000,000 tourists have tried this service. Furthermore, through law enforcement inspections and thematic activities on cultural tourism, Rizhao is stepping up pace to create a satisfactory environment for tourists.
