根据STR上个月的月度数据表示，在2017年1月，总共有1176座酒店的270，803间客房在建造中，就客房而言年度增长6.2%。
在该市场里，上海拥有最多的在建酒店客房数量（42座酒店，9529间客房），紧随其后的是雅加达（29座酒店，7240间客房），成都（27座酒店共计5，928间客房）以及巴厘岛（31座酒店，5474间客房）。
包括正在计划阶段的项目，目前亚太区共有2670座在建酒店，共计598，952间客房。比12个月前的结果同比增长2.2%。
