Located a few kilometres away from the hustle and bustle of Deauville, four-star hotel Les Manoirs des Portes de Deauville is set to open on 1 July.
The soon-to-open hotel is ideally situated two hours away from Paris, on the outskirts of the upscale seaside town of Deauville – a famous weekend retreat for Parisians – so that guests can enjoy the beach as well as the tranquillity and charm of the Norman countryside.
Set on a stunning two-hectare park, the hotel includes one main manor house, nine cottages, an orchard and a pond, a relaxation area with a pool house, an outdoor heated pool, a sauna and a jacuzzi; making it the perfect getaway to relax and unwind – all the while enjoying everything the region has to offer.
Whilst the décor remains modern and simple, the structure itself, with its exposed beams and authentic Norman half-timbered and thatched exterior, is reminiscent of its rich history. The building, which is a 16th and 17th-century manor and a registered historical building, was formerly called Le Manoir de Prétot and belonged to none other than Marie Corneille, the sister of French tragedian Pierre Corneille. Today, it has become a pleasant link between the past and the present.
