Ms. Celia Lao (below), CEO of AirAsia Hong Kong and Macao, is happy to share that the Macao – Phuket route has been receiving strong response from both sides during the opening sales period since October 2017. The keen demand has been attributed to Macao being a popular destination for Thai tourists and Phuket being a well-known island paradise for Chinese and international travellers. This direct connection has created immense convenience for travellers from both ends.

“Macao locals, Mainland Chinese, expatriates and all others, I invite all of you to visit Phuket, the beautiful island of paradise in Thailand, to experience the city known as the Pearl of the Andaman as well as to savour it’s delicious cuisine. You can now fly directly from Macao to this wonderful island at an amazing price” Ms. Lao said.
With this newly added service, AirAsia group operates a total of 72 weekly flights connecting Macao to Bangkok (Don Mueang), Phuket, Chiang Mai, Pattaya (U-Tapao), Kuala Lumpur, Manila and most recently launched Johor Bahru in Malaysia, which began service on 28 November 2017.
