Responding to CYC’s rally for community support, Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford joined hands with Singapore’s most established tailor brand to sew free masks for migrant workers in the country. This meaningful project aims to sew a total of 300,000 reusable masks.

From 14 April 2020, the hotels’ eight experienced in-house seamstresses, began their labour of love. Marcus Hanna, general manager of Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford said: “We can’t be happier to lend our support to this wonderful cause. During these challenging times, we are happy to assist in wherever we can to help Singapore combat COVID-19. As a corporate member within the community, this is the hotels’ way to show our gratitude and care; and to say thank you to our migrant friends.”

The team at both the hotels completed 900 masks within just a week, and has committed to sew 2,100 in total.
