Marriott International’s distinctive Autograph Collection, welcomed five African Pride Hotels to its growing global portfolio, marking the brand’s debut in South Africa.

A land of diversity and cultural experiences, South Africa has long been part of Marriott International’s global expansion strategy. With a total of 54 properties – from Cape Town to Johannesburg – Marriott is further capitalising on the Republic’s economic growth.

Adding 5 more properties, the hotel chain welcomed: African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel; African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel; African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa; African Pride Irene Country Lodge; and Arabella Hotel & Spa, Arabella Country Estate.

African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel

Situated in South Africa’s largest city, Johannesburg, the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel is a 188-room residential hotel. It’s right in the heart of the bustling neighbourhood, surrounded by cafes, al fresco dining, high street fashion, among other leisure establishments. The hotel also offers a contemporary urban experience, featuring the March Restaurant which offers global cuisine, the Library Bar, and surprise design pop-ups throughout the property.

African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel

Set in the Gardens area of the coastal city, Cape Town, African Pride 15 on Orange Hotel is close to the city centre and the city’s famous landmarks. At the hotel, guests can soak up the Cape Town sun at the rooftop pool, while enjoying panoramic views of Table Mountain in an elevated chandelier pod.

African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa

For those looking to go a bit further, the African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa is the hotel of choice, as it is found in the Magaliesburg Mountains, an hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The hotel is an intimate property with 121 rooms featuring serene gardens and a hydrotherapy spa. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are served to complement the treatments.

African Pride Irene Country Lodge

Located in Gauteng, South Africa’s economic capital, the African Pride Irene Country Lodge is 75-room lodge in the quaint and historical village of Irene.
