airFair - Flight Delay Compensation

airFair has released an enhanced version of its app to streamline the flight delay claims process for passengers on the go.

airFair, creators of the UK’s first flight delay compensation mobile app, has released  new features of the app to include a boarding pass scanner – allowing passengers to simply check if they are eligible for compensation without having to enter any details.

The app also makes sure users are kept up-to-date during every step of the process of their claim via its dashboard monitor and can remain logged in making the user journey quicker.

To launch a claim, consumers only need their boarding card for scanning, but even without that, a check can be made using a booking reference or flight number, or departure date and destination airport.

“A claim can now be launched within minutes”

Rahul Sharma, partner at airFair, said: “While there has been an increase in claims since the launch of the airFair App, we’ve been continuously developing its technology to quicken the process for users. A claim can now be launched within minutes from as early as in the departure lounge, so there’s no reason for passengers not to check if they are eligible.”

The airFair app launched in October 2016 and since then has helped to retrieve over GBP 1m of flight delay compensation for passengers worldwide, including the UK, Spain, Germany and France.

Anyone who has faced a flight delay in the last six years for more than three hours when travelling from an airport, which resides in the European Union, or en-route to an EU member state while travelling with an airline operated in the EU, can make a claim.

“Our claims specialists do all of the legwork”

Sharma added: “We understand that consumers are short on time and want convenience which inspired the app’s enhancements. Claiming compensation direct through the airline can be time-consuming and frustrating as they look for loopholes to avoid paying out, but using the app removes this hassle from passengers as our claims specialists do all of the legwork.”

The airFair app can be downloaded for free from the App Store on iOS and Android. Claims can also be launched online at www.airfair.com.
