Why? Low-cost carrier taps the rising demand among Koreans for leisure holidays to Vietnam

Why? Serving Sri Lanka’s rising levels of business and leisure traffic, whilst also expanding SilkAir’s regional network
Anything else? SilkAir’s parent company, Singapore Airlines, also operates flights to the Sri Lankan capital city

Why? Providing the first direct air link between two of the largest cities in India’s far north
Anything else? The closest major city to Amritsar is not actually in India – it’s Lahore, just 50km away across the border in Pakistan

Why? Trade between South India and nearby Maldives, plus rising Indian tourist demand
Anything else? This will be SpiceJet’s second connection between the Maldives and Kerala, following the existing Kochi service
