The Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE) recently held its AGM where the new board of directors was announced for 2017-2018.
After two years as AWTE’s Vice-Chair the position of Chair has been passed to Sarah Clayton-Turner who will take up the role with immediate effect.
She replaces Debbee Dale.
Clayton-Turner said: “I’m delighted to be taking over as chair. The Association is in a really healthy position both in terms of member numbers, but also with a fantastic line up of events scheduled in for this year.
I look forward to ensuring the Association goes from strength to strength with a fantastic new board of ladies with enormous talent in place.
We are looking to increase our global proposition in the next 12 months following the huge success of the Ireland chapter in Dublin earlier this month.
I would like to say a personal thanks to Debbee Dale, who not only has given phenomenal commitment to the Association, but I have learnt a huge amount from her over the past few years on the Board.”
The new Board of Directors is as follows: Chair – Sarah Clayton Turner from Travel Trade Marketing, Vice Chair – Lindsay Garvey Jones from Holiday Extras, Secretary – Sarah Hanan from Dunleavy White, Finance Director – Sarah Johnson from Lotus U.K., Membership Director – Deb Merrifield from Marketing Radar, Events Director – Jessica Bain from Latin Routes and Donna Allock from MoneySuperMarket, Public Relations Director – Louise Hodges from Travelzoo, Project and Partnership Director – Rivka Hawley from Travlaw and Website & Communications Director – Claire Osborne from Travelport and Andrea Clayton-Norris from All Clear Insurance and Aphrodite Burton as Event Consultant.
To mark the departure of Debbee Dale as Chair, members and non-members are invited to attend the Chair’s Dinner on Wednesday May 9 at Smith and Wollensky in John Adam Street, London.
