Bonza Airlines, Australia’s premier low-cost carrier, proudly announces the newest addition to its fleet: Bruce. Named after the quintessential Aussie moniker, Bruce joins the ranks of other beloved aircraft, including Matilda, Shazza, Bazza, Sheila, and Malc.
Bonza CEO, Tim Jordan, expressed his enthusiasm for the choice of name: “There couldn’t be a more suitable name for our latest aircraft. I feel every Aussie knows a Bruce, and we’re proud to have our very own Bruce join Bonza’s fleet. Our purple army of fans on social media played a significant role in naming this aircraft, with Bruce being one of the most requested names we’ve had.”
The name “Bruce” is not only fitting but also symbolic. As Jordan explains, “We’re encouraging Aussies to get off the Bruce Highway and onto Bonza’s Bruce. With some great deals available within Bonza’s network of 21 destinations, Bruce is ready to take passengers on unforgettable journeys.”
Bonza Airlines recently unveiled ambitious expansion plans. A fourth base is expected to be confirmed later this year, and the fleet will grow to include up to ten aircraft by year-end. Bruce will play a vital role in connecting Aussies on unserved and underserved routes across Australia.
Bruce joins Matilda, named last year in celebration of the Matildas’ World Cup success. Together, these aircraft embody Bonza’s commitment to providing affordable travel options for Australians. “We are thrilled to welcome Bruce and Matilda to our fleet,” said Jordan. “They join Shazza, Bazza, Sheila, and Malc. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements about our future fleet expansion.”
